Arcturis was approached to create and name a new brand for a Cannabis start up. Led by industry leaders from the United States and partners in Switzerland, a name and identity were needed for a presentation to potential investors. After conducting market research and interviewing the client, Arcturis presented a list of viable names and domains that represented the team’s collective feelings about the brand identity and aspirations. The group decided on the name “Alpen” which is reflective of the sophistication of the brand’s future location in Switzerland. The name also is a nod to the desired natural, clean vibe of the brand’s essence. While the client chose to use a simpler mark for its investor deck, this is the mark that Arcturis created: a corporate mark that marries the spirit of the American team’s energy with the stylish embodiment of Swiss style. The typography and color scheme created touches on nostalgia but invokes a modern flair.
