America’s Central Port is one of the largest freight hubs in the Midwest, transporting a value of $1.1B+ in freight annually, with access to six Class-I railroads, two multi-modal harbors, 4 U.S. interstate highways, warehousing, and multiple development-ready sites. Arcturis’s graphics team worked closely with ACP to create a better user experience and develop a sense of place for their overall campus. Starting with wayfinding, the team designed new signage at the three main entry points to better guide users to their destinations.
Also building off ACP’s established identity, Arcturis created a series of identification sign types and numbering standards to be used on various building types. As the final deliverable a detailed sign standards guide was developed outlining specifications that America’s Central Port can use for implementation on future projects.
