When Block (formally known as Square, Inc.) chose the former Post-Dispatch building for their new office, Arcturis was selected to provide a graphic installation as part of this historic renovation. The design concept is a nod to the past, when newsprint rolled off large, towering presses to share the stories of St. Louis. The selected graphics shine a light on the beautiful and historic details that remain in the building and provide glimpses into the past. Our team focused on the motif created by the remnants of a track system built into the floor, originally used to transport pallets of newsprint, adjacent to where the mural is located. Inspired by this industrial looking graphic pattern, the team created a 3D mural that stretched 70 feet using vibrant, playful colors.
