Arcturis collaborated with Vionic to design their new office in Novato, California, transforming an aircraft hangar into a wellness-centered workspace. The project balanced Vionic’s brand identity and functional needs, integrating natural earth tones and sustainable practices to reflect the company’s values.
Key features include ergonomic furniture, all-gender restrooms, and wellness spaces, fostering inclusivity and employee well-being. The open office plan encourages collaboration, supported by flexible workstations, meeting spaces, and a central work café.

Arcturis maximized the reuse of existing architecture, aligning with Vionic’s sustainability goals and delivering the project under budget. The design promotes balance, innovation, and connection, grounding Vionic’s identity in both form and function.
An aircraft hanger turned corporate office space, the expansive ceiling heights and windows offered unique opportunities for the Vionic team. The flexible front lobby and showroom and the work café and all-hands meeting space are the two grand team gathering spaces that bookend Vionic’s office.
Two plywood cladded structures ground the centralized meeting rooms and one of Vionic’s Brand Rooms. The primary Brand Room, large conference, huddles, focus rooms and non-traditional offices hug the windows with lowered ceilings for a more private work setting. Brand Rooms feature flexible glass and brass shelving systems and elevated finishes to welcome frequent visitors.
Open collaboration areas abound, with endless tack surfaces, whiteboards, moveable tack boards, flexible lighting, and ample work surfaces and library storage to support Vionic’s shoe design and marketing teams.
