MISSISSIPPI LIME

"Mississippi Lime is a world-class producer of calcium products including quicklime, hydrated lime, calcium carbonate and precipitated calcium carbonate. For over 100 years, Mississippi Lime has been producing products from one of the richest limestone reserves in the world and today supplies product throughout North America and the world from over twelve plants and terminals."

Arcturis was engaged by Mississippi Lime to renovate their headquarters. The space needed to be flexible to accommodate their continual growth. In addition to the need for flexibility, Mississippi lime needed to stay in the space during construction. They were able to do so successfully through strong communication with Arcturis's workplace strategy team. The design solution for this space included simplistic finishes with subtle integration of real limestone. The entry glazing creates a visible first impression of the company's evolving brand upon first entering the space. The clean lines throughout the headquarters allowed for bold statements like an expansive felt lighting fixture in the break room and bold carpet and tile transitions throughout.   

Arcturis creatively utilized existing character and higher-end finishes to create a space that was both refined and unique to the brand. Details in the dropped ceiling paired with strong carpet transitions effortlessly carried the eye throughout the space. 

For the space to remain as flexible and accommodating as possible, an inviting, multi-functional space was key. This multi functional space not only allows team members to gather for coffee, lunch, meetings and even a quick run on the treadmill -- but it acts as a recruitment and retention tool for potential and current employees. The light weight light fixture makes a bold statement without overwhelming the multi-use space and adds texture and interest to the frequented break room.
