Oliver Properties selected Arcturis for the architecture, interior design, and brand experience of the 1000 Washington Avenue renovation, a pivotal project in downtown St. Louis’ revitalization. Originally built in the early 1900s as the Rice Stix Warehouse, the building played a key role in the city’s garment district.
The renovation added modern social spaces like a coffee bar and fire-side lounge, preserving the building’s industrial charm with original timber, stone, and brick.
Arcturis also created a brand identity inspired by the “Six Cord” thread used in garments made on site in 1908, blending historic and modern elements to reflect the updated style of this downtown living space.
