Wugen

Wugen is a St. Louis-based biotech company that develops cellular therapies to eliminate cancer cells in the global fight against cancer. Originally located in a co-working space, Arcturis worked with Wugen to optimize its growth within the Cortex Innovation District.

 A welcoming haven for both patients and team members, the new headquarters features natural light and soft wood tones as key design drivers throughout the space. Upon entry, a large monitor provides an educational and informational narrative moment. Upholstered booths are located near the entry serving as a waiting zone and huddle space for the Wugen team. At the core of the experience is the bright white lab that is accentuated by lighting and glazing intentionally placed to highlight the processes and hands-on team behind the successful company. The board room is intentionally subdued but sophisticated, allowing Wugen’s work to be the focus of the space. And finally, the large work café serves as both a functional meeting space as well as entertainment space. A meaningful mission and client, Arcturis enjoyed working with the Wugen team to support its leading-edge work and to celebrate the “wu-factor” that defines Wugen as a company.
